According to boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua will fight the winner of the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight if he prevails against Daniel Dubois in their September match.
Joshua’s previous match took place in March, and he knocked out former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in the second round.
In a recent interview with The Sun, Hearn also stated that their first priority remains Joshua regaining the world heavyweight title.
He said: “I hope the winner of the December fight fights Anthony Joshua is he’s victorious in September. We haven’t decided about the opponent yet, with three or four possibilities. That’s the ultimate goal. Regain the world heavyweight championship and, of course, become undisputed.
“So, two more fights before we can call ourselves undisputed, but we must first win. “Last month Usyk beat Fury in a historical clash with a split decision.
Usyk became the first person to unify the division since Lennox Lewis in 1999 in the heavyweight sector. He snatched the WBC belt from Fury’s hands in addition to his present WBA “Super”, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles.
