Suns owner Mat Ishbia delivered draft night his own news Wednesday, declaring “drama” over Phoenix trading Kevin Durant is fiction of the non-publishable sort.
While Ishbia hadn’t said anything on record, he took to social media Tuesday in response to multiple reports and TV chatter Wednesday linking the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls and others as potential destinations for Durant.
“NBA Draft night is the best. All of these people out here talking about the drama and storylines — some are hit, many miss. My turn. Phoenix loves Kevin Durant and the feeling is mutual, so we’re going to be in competition for this years championship as well because WE HAVE THIS TEAM. Gotta love draft night! Go Suns.”
