Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James in the 2nd round of Thursday’s NBA draftThe process helped LeBron one step closer to achieving his own dream that has been around for decades: playing with his son.
Bronny, 19, found out with a phone call from general manager Rob Pelinka while his dad gave an emotional champagne toast to family and friends when it was happening at Restaurant in New York (via ESPN).
Although Bronny isn’t likely to see the court much (if at all) in his rookie season, this could still be an historic moment as he and LeBron become the first father-son duo ever to play together on a team.
